JBS Adventures LLP (“JBS Adventures”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates an all-electric taxi fleet in Delhi NCR, including services delivered through the Uber and Rapido platforms, direct corporate and intercity bookings, and customer support over WhatsApp Business and email. Our vehicles are fitted with on-board dashcams and GPS trackers for safety, route management, and dispute resolution. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”) and other applicable law.
By using our services or contacting us, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Who we are (Data Fiduciary)

2. Information we collect
We collect only the personal information we genuinely need to deliver your ride, support you afterwards, and meet our legal obligations.
2.1 Information you give us directly
- Name, mobile number, and email address — when you book directly, contact customer support, or message us on WhatsApp.
- Pickup and drop-off addresses — when you book a direct ride.
- Payment-related information for direct bookings — handled through our payment processors; we do not store full card or bank account numbers on our own servers.
- Photos, documents, or messages you choose to share with us via WhatsApp or email (for example, lost-item descriptions or invoice requests).
- If you apply to be a driver-partner: your name, address, government-issued identity and licence documents, banking details for settlement, and vehicle documents where relevant.
2.2 Information we receive from aggregator platforms
When you book a JBS Adventures vehicle through Uber or Rapido, those platforms share with us the limited information we need to deliver the ride — typically your first name or masked identifier, masked phone number, pickup and drop-off coordinates, fare details, and ride status. The collection and primary use of your information by those platforms is governed by their own privacy policies, which you accept when you use their apps.
2.3 Information generated automatically
- Ride telemetry — start time, end time, route, distance, and duration of trips operated by our vehicles.
- Vehicle telematics & GPS — speed, real-time location, charge state, and other data from on-board systems used to manage the fleet, monitor safety, and respond to incidents.
- Dashcam footage — forward-facing and in-cabin video, recorded on every ride, used for safety, dispute resolution, and lost-item recovery. Footage is retained for a defined period appropriate to those purposes and is accessed only by authorised personnel. By taking a JBS Adventures ride, you acknowledge that the cabin and the road ahead are being recorded.
- Website usage data — pages viewed, browser type, device type, IP address, and similar technical signals collected by our website host and standard analytics tools.
3. Why we use your information
We use your information for the following specific, lawful purposes:
- To dispatch, complete, and bill rides — including identifying you to the assigned driver, navigating to your pickup, and confirming completion.
- To provide customer support — answering your questions on WhatsApp, email, or phone; handling lost-item enquiries; resolving complaints.
- To process payments and issue invoices — including GST-compliant tax documentation.
- To onboard, manage, and pay driver-partners — including statutory verifications and bank settlements.
- To meet legal obligations — including tax, accounting, transport-regulator, and law-enforcement requirements applicable to a passenger transportation operator in India.
- To improve safety and service quality — analysing ride data to identify operational issues, prevent fraud, and maintain vehicle and passenger safety.
- To send service-related communications — booking confirmations, ride status updates, payment receipts, and important policy or service changes.
- To send promotional or marketing communications — only if you have specifically opted in to receive them.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with parties who help us run the service or whom the law requires us to inform.
- Driver-partners — the driver assigned to your ride sees the limited information necessary to find you and complete the trip.
- Aggregator platforms — Uber and Rapido, where you booked through them, for ride dispatch, status sync, and billing reconciliation.
- WhatsApp / Meta Platforms — when you message us on WhatsApp Business, your message and metadata are processed by Meta in accordance with WhatsApp's own Privacy Policy and Business Terms.
- Payment processors — for direct booking payments and driver-partner settlements.
- Service providers — hosting (Wix), email (Google Workspace), telematics/fleet-management providers, and accounting and tax service providers — each bound by confidentiality and processing only what they need.
- Government and law enforcement — where required by valid legal process, statutory obligation, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of any person.
- Corporate transactions — if JBS Adventures LLP is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred subject to the same protections described in this Policy.
5. WhatsApp Business — specific notice
We use WhatsApp Business at +91 83605 22645 as our primary customer communication channel.
- Messages you send us on WhatsApp, and our replies, are processed by Meta Platforms, Inc. and its affiliates under WhatsApp's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We are a Business User of the platform.
- We use these messages only to respond to your booking, ride, payment, support, or partnership query, and to keep records as required by law.
- We do not send marketing or promotional messages on WhatsApp without your prior opt-in. You may opt out of any opt-in stream at any time by replying STOP.
- If you do not wish to communicate with us on WhatsApp, you may instead email cs@jbsadventures.com or call us on the same number during operating hours.
6. How long we keep your information
We retain personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Policy, or for as long as the law requires us to keep it — whichever is longer.
- Ride and booking records — typically eight years from the end of the relevant financial year, in line with Indian tax and accounting requirements.
- Dashcam footage — typically retained for 30 to 90 days unless a longer period is required for an active investigation, dispute, or legal claim, after which it is overwritten or deleted.
- Customer-support conversations (WhatsApp, email) — typically up to three years, unless a longer period is required to defend a legal claim.
- Driver-partner records — for the duration of the engagement and for the period required under applicable labour, tax, and transport regulations after it ends.
- Marketing opt-in records — until you opt out, plus a short retention period to evidence the opt-out.
7. Your rights under the DPDP Act
Subject to the conditions set out in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we are processing it.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, and updating or erasure of personal data that is no longer required.

9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include access controls on internal systems, encrypted transmission of sensitive data, and contractual confidentiality obligations on our service providers. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we encourage you to use strong, unique passwords for any account associated with our services.
10. Children
Our services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child without verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian. If you believe a child has shared information with us without such consent, please contact cs@jbsadventures.com so we can take appropriate action.
11. Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, security, and aggregate analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some categories may affect site functionality.
12. Cross-border transfers
Some of our service providers (for example, our website host, email provider, and WhatsApp/Meta) may store and process information on servers located outside India. Where this happens, we ensure that the transfer is consistent with applicable Indian law and that the recipient is bound by appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, in applicable law, or in the way we operate. The latest version will always be available at this URL, with the “Last updated” date at the top. We encourage you to review it periodically.
